Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Outline a speech (which can also be converted to outlining a paper)
- Conduct effective research
- Correctly cite sources
- Clearly and concisely relay information
- Support a claim with evidence in order to persuade
- Provide peer feedback
- Plan and present information for a specific audience
Course Outcomes
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
Students will have reviewed all of the major types of speeches. Students will create several short speeches to present to small and whole group. Students will have also created and presented projects based on research and effective communication skills acquired in the course.Students will also compile a “study guide” with handouts, vocabulary, and other resources.
