Model G20

Building a Digital Future
Digital technologies are evolving faster and are used more widely than ever before. Digitization touches all sectors of the economy and society, such as commerce and finance, government and public services, agriculture and industry, and security and defence. The development of artificial intelligence allows digital technology to adapt and optimize its performance, creating significant shifts in the workforce and new markets for investment. At the same time, just under half the world’s population lacks internet access, cutting them off from opportunities for economic growth.
Learning Objectives
- What are the barriers and benefits to achieving global internet connectivity?
- What types of financial markets and employment opportunities does digitization create for your country?
- How can the global community most effectively manage the risks posed by digitization?
-
