AP Art History

This course will focus exclusively on the Advanced Placement (AP) Art History exam, a three-hour test composed of 80 multiple-choice questions and two hours of free response essays. The test is based on 250 works of art selected by the College Board, and students are expected to know identification information; be able to discuss form, function, content, and context of each work; and compare and contrast multiple works across time periods and cultures. The course does not require any previous art history knowledge, and can be taken by students who are currently enrolled in an AP Art History class or students who would like to take the AP test independently. The course will give students an overview of the AP Art History test, review the course content, and provide multiple-choice practice, test-taking tips, and writing practice for each of the six timed essays on the AP test.
